She also appreciates the teamwork of Twinbrook's staff and how well everyone can work together, especially in a crisis situation.
In her spare time, she enjoys boating and outdoor activities with her family, friends, and dogs. Nicky is a firefighter/first responder in her local community and has a therapy dog named Petunia, a chocolate Lab, who is trained as a debriefing dog for the Fire Department.

She became part of Twinbrook Animal Clinic, Inc. in 2002 starting part-time in the kennel and working into full time in 2003. Laura frequently attended continuing education events so it was decided that she needed to come out of the kennel and become a technician! She attended the Canine Rehab Institute and became a Certified Canine Rehab Assistant in 2010. The desire to help pets is what has driven Laura to pursue a career in Veterinary medicine; the most fulfilling part of work for her is interacting with people and assisting them in deepening their ties with their dogs. Chanel practically grew up at Twinbrook often coming in at a very young age with her mom and then working here primarily in the kennel off and on for approximately 10 years. She started working here as a groomer in 2024. Chanel has been actively showing and grooming dogs since childhood and has worked with most breeds of all groups. She enjoys working here because of the comfortable family-like environment but also has great confidence being here and knowing that animals are treated the very best.
When Chanel isn't grooming at Twinbrook or traveling around the country showing dogs, she is raising and training puppies or working out at the gym. She shares her home with many dogs, mostly Vizslas and Beagles, and with her rabbit.
Coralie studied Equine Management at Williams Woods College and has trained horses from 1979 to 2002. In April of 2002, she became part of Twinbrook Animal Clinic, Inc.. The opportunity to work with and care for animals is what she loves most about her job. She also very much appreciates the team and everything they do for patients and their families.
Coralie still trains horses part-time, works with dogs and pet sits when she can. When she’s not working, she enjoys gardening, painting, and reading. She has a total of eight cats and a Sheltie named Liam. Her six DSH cats are Pounce, Ben, Lily, Modeira, Jacob and Sasha. Possum and Spohia are her Domestic Longhair pair.
We found Bubblegum waiting at the front door one morning when we opened with her suitcase and a few dollars of spending money. Her human neighbors apparently did not want to see her spend a winter outside so they 'suggested' to her that she come stay with us. Since she has been here, Bubs has taken over the jobs of supervising the employees as they work and offering to distract patients if she feels we need help. (A well-placed full body stretch can attract the attention of a wiggly patient long enough to finish its treatment.) Her hobbies are sleeping in her personal tent, begging for food, and if we don't give her what she thinks she is due, stealing food from the counter. You probably won't see much of her; as the Queen of Twinbrook, she greets her subjects on her own terms. She just allows us to work here in her kingdom.
